The Whole Hog Celebratory Arts is a registered Charity that through its arts activities acts as a facilitator for creative thinking and realisation. Our artists will encourage and support individuals' ideas and methods providing advice, technical information and skills.
What we do
Large-scale events like carnivals, environmental art, processions and exhibitions, one off themed "making and doing" workshops, training, residencies, presentations, resources, information and expertise. A wide variety of techniques dealing with all forms of making from metal and fabric to paper and card are available. We offer specialist skills in sculpture, the design and making of sets, props and costumes, as well as technical advice on project organisation, publicity and research. Individual events are based around the requirements of the beneficiaries, using their creative skills, ideas and motivations, utilising local resources and knowledge.
Where we do it
We work largely within rural and small communities in Kent and the surrounding areas. The arts van, packed with materials and resources, enables work to take place in the most remote of locations, encouraging creativity in all contexts.
